While exploring features of iOS 9, users have unfolded many secrets of the version. One of them is that you can hide multiple photos/videos on your iPhone and iPad enabled by iOS 9.
This feature was absent in the previous version of iOS. With the rising use of social media on smartphones, users share many personal details, photos and videos with one another. And the young blood like to exchange some media files their parents are not supposed to see (I know you are a smart reader.)
This has necessitated a feature that can hide some highly personal or objectionable content. Well, in iOS 9, Apple has introduced a facility that can hide multiple photos/videos on iPhone/iPad. If you haven’t explored this feature, here is how you can hide your photos and videos on your iPhone or iPad.
But before we go through on that, a quick look at how to select multiple photos on iPhone and iPad.
Step #1. Open Photos app on your iPhone/iPad.
Step #2. Tap on Camera Roll to select photos.
Step #3. Tap on Select from the top right corner.
Step #4. Now tap on each photo you want to select. This method will allow you to select multiple photos.
After selecting multiple photos, you can now hide and later unhide the same.
Step #1. Launch Photos app on your iOS device → Tap on Camera Roll → Select photos or videos you want to hide.
Step #2. Now tap on the Share button.
Step #3. Tap on Hide from the Lower menu option.
Step #4. As soon as you tap on Hide option, a menu will pop-up with two options: Hide and Cancel → Tap on Hide option.
Please note that these photos will be hidden from Moments, Collections and Years but still visible in Albums.
Later on, if you want to unhide the photos, you can do it with same steps.
First two steps will be similar as mentioned for hiding the photos.
Step #5. A menu will pop-up once you tap on Share button.
Step #6. Now tap on Unhide from the lower menu.
And you are done.
By introducing this feature, it seems that Apple has done in-depth research to understand the needs and wants of consumers.
At the same time, the brand has spent enough time and money on consumer behaviour and insights.
